The Javelin team delivered another exceptional event with BACARDI® Loud & Untameable LIVE. BACARDI, proud of its Cuban roots, toasted Cuban Independence Day with a Cuba Libre in celebration of its founders’ triumph against extraordinary odds, including the fight for Cuba’s independence from Spain.
Jenny McCarthy, Taylor Kinney, Erin Heatherton, Jamie Lynn Sigler, Chandler Parsons, Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes were among the famous faces that turned out for the event hosted by Burlesque MC Bastard Keith, with performances from Future, Twin Shadow, and Latin fusion band, Yerba Buena. The large-scale concert event was the first-of-its-kind to be held at Weylin B. Seymour’s, the newly renovated historic Williamsburg, Brooklyn landmark.
BACARDI Loud & Untameable LIVE was a multi-sensory spectacle inspired by Havana’s Tropicana Club, the nightclub and cabaret responsible for spreading Cuban culture internationally. Attendees enjoyed epic on-stage performances, lavishly costumed burlesque dancers, authentic hand-rolled Cuban cigars and classic BACARDI cocktails.
“The Bacardi family has been at the heart of the Cuban story since the company’s founding in 1862 in Santiago de Cuba by Don Facundo Bacardi Masso,” said Toby Whitmoyer, vice president and brand managing director, rum category, at Bacardi U.S.A., Inc. “Last night, we toasted with a Cuba Libre to irrepressible spirits everywhere, who like the Bacardi founders, fearlessly pursue their passions.”
The first Cuba Libre was created in 1900 when American and Cuban soldiers came together to celebrate their victory over Spain. A mixture of BACARDI® Rum, cola and fresh lime, the Cuba Libre has been enjoyed for nearly 114 years and remains one of the world’s favorite cocktails.
